Expose current note path (AppleScript or URL API)
OpenProblem
I’d love to integrate Stik with Hookmark, which needs the exact file path (or a stable URL) of the currently displayed note in order to create reliable links. Right now, Stik doesn’t expose any way (AppleScript, URL scheme, etc.) to query “what note is currently open,” which makes deep integration difficult.
Proposed solution
Two possible approaches that would both solve this:
A) AppleScript integration
Add a minimal AppleScript dictionary that exposes a
currentNote(or similar) property.Example:
tell application "Stik" set thePath to path of currentNote end tellThis would allow automation tools (Hookmark, Keyboard Maestro, Shortcuts, etc.) to fetch the active note’s file path directly.
B) stik:// URL API
Introduce a custom URL scheme that can return or reference the currently active note.
Example ideas:
stik://current-note→ resolves current note pathstik://open?path=inbox/note.md→ opens a specific notestik://open→ show the last notestik://new→ create new note
Hookmark and other tools could store and invoke these URLs to re‑open the exact note later.
Either or both of these would make Stik much easier to integrate into automation workflows.
